On this page, I will for sure talk about sports since they are something I watch nearly every day. I love the NFL; I am a Detroit Lions fan. I became a fan due to my dad and I have high hopes nearly every year only to be met with disappointment. One of the four teams to never make a Super Bowl and only three playoff wins since 1957. It has been a rough 70 years for the Lions but if and when we eventually win a Super Bowl, it will be the happiest moment of my life and a dream come true.

Other sports I adore are college basketball and Major League Baseball. My favorites in these leagues are polar opposites in terms of history to the Lions. In baseball, I am a Yankees fan, also got that from my family. Obviously it seems like that can easily bring me joy every year but I don’t have clear memories from the last World Series title. So yes we have 27 rings but I can’t say I’m a part of that since I’ve only been alive for one and I was super young for that ring.

College basketball is my favorite sport to watch and I am a Duke fan. So seeing Duke and the Yankees it might seem like oh he’s a bandwagon but I’m sorry that elementary school me fell in love watching Duke. In fact the first game I remember watching was a game Duke lost and I had no idea about their historical success. Duke losses hurt the most. Every year Duke is very good and they have continuously gotten to the second weekend of March Madness and continue to come up short year after year. I have high hopes for them this year and am predicting for them to cut down the nets for a sixth times this April.

Finally, over the past few years I have gotten more into hockey. I am going to try and watch more of the regular season this year; I usually only watch a few regular season games but then tune in for all of the Stanley Cup playoffs. I picked the Sharks as a kid since I liked their logo and now with Macklin Celebrini, I have hopes for their future. It should be a fun season this year. I’ve fallen out of love with college football over the years and I really don’t like the expanded playoff, but I did get my team from my dad for college football and I do root for Michigan. Go Blue. I don’t watch much of the NBA anymore, hockey has largely replaced it during that time of year but I do root for the Trail Blazers since Damian Lillard is my favorite player.

I love sports statistics especially for the NFL and college basketball. I have used them before for making bracket predictions for March Madness that I will be sharing starting around February each year. And for the NFL I have used hundreds of statistics and used them before to craft a ranking of the greatest quarterbacks of all time by using a wide variety of stats. That about covers it for sports and I will definitely write more about sports in the future.
